Rubellite

Tourmaline is a colorful gemstone and the fifth largest gemstone after diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Rubellite is a tourmaline with red tones such as pink, peach red, rose red, crimson, and purplish red. But in nature, it is mainly produced in tan, maroon, dark red, etc., and the hue changes greatly. In mineralogy, it mainly belongs to tourmaline. 

Origin:  

Brazil, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, the United States, Nigeria, Namibia, Zimbabwe and other countries. 

Use: 

Tang Taizong(Second emperor of the Tang Dynasty), his jade seal is made of tourmaline. 

Cixi (Empress Dowager) has countless treasures in her life, especially her obsession with red tourmaline. Even the court beads and top-wearing flower quills of important officials of the court are made of red tourmaline strings. Therefore, rubellite became a symbol of power at that time.
