Unakite

Unakite is an opaque colored granite containing green epidote, pink feldspar and milky white quartz. Named because it was originally collected from Unaka Ridge in North Carolina, USA. It is often used for grinding small jewelry and necklace beads, and also for carving. 

Origin 

In addition to the United States, it is also found in Galway Bay in Ireland, Zimbabwe, Keimos in the North Cape of South Africa, and Tanzania.

Attributed magical properties 

The ancient Greeks gave the stone the name Unakis-Epidosis, which means something like "to grow together". Because Unakite has developed through the solid growth of red jasper and epidote. The Unakite was considered a healing stone and amulet stone by the Greeks and the Romans. It was not only supposed to protect against injury in wars, but it should also bring a happy return-home. The Unakit brings and holds together what belongs together.
